Kevin Cahil
Re: Kevin Cahil
It is a zero sum game if you are not attracting incremental funding to build up the A&S footprint. The $$$A have to come from somewhere.

Re: Kevin Cahil
We were ranked #30 among National Universities by USNews in the late 70’s-80’s so we were not a small regional school but had a reputation that rivaled Carnegie Tech & RPI & to a lesser extent MIT for undergraduates.
We deteriorated our national reputation in the 90’s and now hanging on at #50 as I recall with Engineering no longer recognized as a strength. Business School was always strong as the Engineers transferred to the Business school by sophomore year.
Now no Saturday classes & kids partying midweek as standards have dropped & grade inflation went up by more than 1.0 so that everyone feels good about themselves.

What a pity....something to be said for hard work and pressure. It builds character and fortitude, something in short supply these days.

Always good to hear from the young optimists on the board. Merry Christmas to you too.
