Cahil's Coaching staff

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Go Lehigh TU Owl wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 11:59 pm I am fascinated that someone coming in with Cahill's acknowledged reputation is relying on 2 50+ old journeyman coaches with sketcy/up and down backgrounds to be his OC and DC. The fact he opted to go in this direction rather than identifying at least a rising star who was either a lower-level coordinator or position coach to provide some more youthful mojo to the staff I find to be "unfortunate".

As it is, Lehigh's OC will be on his 4th team in 4 years after being fired from a league peer. Their new DC was fired for poor performance the last time he was a DC (ODU in 2018) and struggled mightily as a head coach at a D3 program. Adding to the Nagy intrigue is the fact Allegheny's defenses were atrocious while he was their head coach; especially this past season. To be fair, he did a good job as Maine's DC 20 years ago for whatever that's worth.
Certainly not the direction I anticipated, but I guess we will see how Cahill pulls it all together. Position coaches seems solid.

Interesting background. Looks like he just spent a few years at Nebraska on defensive staff and played at UCF.

Per his twitter, Chavaar Warren has been officially hired as running backs coach. Offensive staff seems to be done. The only uncoached position on the defensive side is saftey's- which could also be a passing game cord.

Should note staff out on the road beating the bushes. At least from what I've seen the emphasis is quite different.
Due in large part I think,to the very short window until NSD. Very few have big offer sheets. There are many more that staff is pursuing. There are always gems left after signing days.

Not sure why the new coaching staff isn’t listed on the website. Wouldn’t that help with recruiting?

Perhaps with parents. Think kids rely more on social media.Usually SID has to wait for announcement by football for most any information.

Fun fact: Winston Salem and Bethlehem are the only 2 places in the world to serve Moravian Sugercake!

I would think some could be acquired in Nazareth and Emmaus (Emaus) as well as Herrnhut, Ger. ;)
