Goodman Stadium finally produced Patriot League award winners.....

Too bad it was for the opposing team.

PATRIOT LEAGUE FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tyler Knoop, Georgetown, 5th, QB, North Richland Hills, Texas/Fort Worth Christian
*Knoop completed 26-of-32 passes for a career-high 332 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 41 yards in the Hoyas’ 17-7 victory at Lehigh to improve to 2-0 in League play for the first time since 2018.

PATRIOT LEAGUE FOOTBALL ROOKIE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Zeraun Daniel, Georgetown, Fr., DB, Brooklyn, N.Y./Poly Prep Country Day
*Daniel made four solo tackles and recorded an interception in Georgetown’s 17-7 victory over Lehigh.

Georgetown is a fine institution that obviously draws across the nation and world.
My attorney (long deceased) Bill Wickkiser played football there after serving in US Navy in WWII and stayed on as a grad assistant football coach while going through Georgetown Law.

It was only inevitable with only so many FBS/FCS private Catholic football offering schools that Georgetown would elevate it's game. That it is an elite international comprehensive university with a medical and law school only makes it easier to recruit student athletes.

There were two different games wherein G-town had players from 3 continents other than North America
