Holy Cross is coming off another dramatic win over Fordham. The Rams scored with about a minute left down 8 but their failed 2 pt conversion and onside kick attempt proved to be the difference in the 49-47 Crusaderswin. Sluka did NOT play due to a shoulder injury. The backup looked pretty darn good so Lehigh better be prepared for both. This is a great chance for the new staff, coming off the bye, to continue to show progress.
Lafayette is now ranked #16 in the Coaches Poll, #20 in the STATS Poll following their win over the Hoyas.
Bucknell shocked Colgate 49-34 in Hamilton.

LU doesn’t need to win. Play smart and hard! Congrats Pard’s. You have earned the accolades.

Yikes, I just realized the typo when describing the HC/FU game....
I agree Lehigh doesn't have to win so long as they prove on the field they are continuing to close the gap on the top half of the league. Although, after the heartbreaking loss to Fordham this year it sure would be nice to beat one of the "Big 3" at this point.....

Offensively, this is the last 3 or so years Holy Cross team but defensively it's a shell of itself of the last couple years. Hurt by both graduation and injuries.
If LU can move the ball, run the clock etc.they have a puncher's chance in this one.

The OL has to allow plays to develop and the QB needs to execute. I like Lehigh's skill guys and their front 7 on defense. There's enough talent to make this interesting if they come out ready to play their best for 60 minutes.
I think it's rather obvious at this point that Silbor's development is paramount. Especially with the two recruits coming in. Progress, it's paramount at this point. Everyone needs to believe this is truly headed in the right direction from now and until signing day.
Time to reclaim the torch from Holy Cross and Fordham. And don't let Lafayette get too far ahead either. I think the 'Pards being good is a benefit to Lehigh. The Maroon and White faithful have taken over the weekly PL threads. When Lehigh returns to their winning ways (the long absence will increase the sense of pride) the re-engagement will be both sudden and obvious.

It will be momentous. Pards are relishing the season. after a drought.that exceeds ours. Glad for them. I will be happier when we beat them
Hoped we might have Harris back for Saturday. Front end cannot allow Cross to control the LOS.

I think the term you're looking for is "front-running"
