Re: 24 Roster up.
Should be an interesting spring, with an even more interesting preseason.
Coaches need to keep everyone healthy before the big Army game.

Re: 24 Roster up.
Thank God for 5th year returnees.
Without them, we would be going into Army with an almost completely revamped OL, no QB with any experience and only1 returning RB with more than 3 carries.
Our most experienced DB leaves an otherwise very young secondary.
I think if Gilmore had these kind of defections, the fan base would be up in arms.
With that being said, this recruiting class will get their feet held to the fire early. Crossley is our only true RB in the class, I believe. Green and Palmer were both primarily DB in HS that can function as a RB. I've been told the playbook has already been adjusted to incorporate Johnson's skill set but I have no expectations of seeing him early barring injuries but who knows.
This season will be interesting.

Re: 24 Roster up.
Spring will be almost as challenging as August camp. Coaches have a lot to do to get these players ready. Grateful for the 5th years but more so for the transfers in for Spring practice. Gonna be a real busy summer on campus.

Don't be surprised to see Johnson givin every chance to win this job
Re: 24 Roster up.
I'm sure you are correct. However throwing him to the wolves against Army IMO would be counterproductive. The longer that Perri can hold down the fort, the more prepared Johnson will be.
Don't be surprised if the transition happens after the 2 week bye period, if the wheels come off early.

Re: 24 Roster up.
Yes, that two week bye is looking better and better. When I first saw the schedule, I figured there would be an adjustment or an additional game, but now, I see that two week period as being good timing for healing, revamping, and the newbies catching their breath. Also, great that Perri is returning. He's a leader and has real commitment to the program.
