OK ...not the toughest opponent but 21 goals in 3 periods by 13 different players is still pretty impressive

21-5 after 3

Final 24-10. Only had 3 TOs.

Loyola next week will be a much tougher challenge but I'm optimistic.

Anyone know why Gaffney didn't play? Judah Hicks is no longer on the roster but looked to be preparing for the season in September.

Hicks? Surprising. Saw the pics of him working out. Perhaps 81 may know the whys of Gaff and Judah.
Today was a good warmup. PT for most everyone.

Gaffney was one of three players out due to the Covid “protocol.” Not sure if they have it, were exposed to it or what. Hopefully they will be back for Loyola. Sisselberger was great today but the Hawks could use both of them against Loyola. Interestingly, Loyola’s top FOGO missed their game against Utah today.

Hicks is taking the semester off. Apparently he wants to be an actor/producer and he landed a role/job on a Showtime production that is filming in Houston from now through April.

The Hawks looked great today until garbage time in the 4th quarter. The only area of concern was their man down defense. They will have to be much better next week in that area or make sure they stay out of the box. A sterner test would have been better heading into the Loyola game. Hopefully, there won’t be any further missed games by any players due to Covid.

You’re welcome. It was also interesting that the transfer from Hopkins, Gomez, did not see any playing time. Unusual since pretty much everyone got into the game at some point. Perhaps he was one of the other players who missed the game due to Covid.

Thanks 81. Hope success for Judah.
We're going to have to level up quite a bit to play with Loyola.

Good point about Gomez. I don't tend to follow our personnel on defense simply because there are not a great deal of changes. With Hicks gone for the semester, he could have a vital role this year.

I also forgot to mention Scott Cole, our top recruit from last year who appeared to play a really solid game in the midfield. 3 goals on 3 shots is commendable especially for a freshman in his first game.
