1974-75 was the first year of the ECC.
The above is correct on the teams in the western division. I believe the east that first year consisted of American, LaSalle, Saint Joe’s, Temple, Drexel, Hofstra, and West Chester.

A shame collegiate sports have become so much more of a rigidly structured money sport...unless you're one of the kids getting the big bucks in NIL !

A few years later, West Chester said they were dropping out of D1 in MBB and still won the league.

???
West Chester played in the ECC through the 1981–82 season. They never had a winning record overall during that time span and never had a winning record in the league. They also failed toeven win one tournament game during those years.
