U of Albany

Young team returns in 2018-2019 with tons of promise. Can they get back to the NCAA Tournament?

Simply embarrassing. Scored 12 points in the first half. On this season? On this team? Check please...

I laughed at last place predictions. But we actually are a very bad team. Lack of a PG and no MW last night hurt. There is talent but not much cohesion. Higgins did help at PG in the 2nd when we score 40 pts.
One tekeaway is the lack of shooters. We have no go to outside shooter.

MW getting healthy and back on the court would be a big boost to this team.
Next opponent is Eastern, a D3 school that's riding an 8-game winning streak. It's a must-win game for Lehigh heading into PL play.
A loss in that game would indicate this Lehigh team may end up the worst in 25 years

That's pretty much the exact same analysis I had after the NJIT game. Since it was only the 2nd game of the season and they just came off a good performance against Rutgers, I was willing to give them a pass. Not so much now.

What would a loss to Eastern signal?

Could it be possible?

I am having visions of my senior year..47 years ago when we won 1 single game all season. Record was something like 1-26. There was a power outage during one game at Grace Hall and the B&W reported that our shooting percentage went up 50% during the outage! :D

Thanks for the reminder. No matter what else happens this year, it won't be as bad as 1974-75. ... boy, how the schedule has changed (from the LUMBB record book online)...

Note: The record book lists two wins (vs Gettysburg and Bucknell) but the summary lists only one.

The Bucknell website said the Bisons (14-12 that season) won their Feb. 12 game 74-64.

Gettysburg (9-15) website confirms the Engineers won 72-62 on Feb. 1, but the Bullets avenged the win later in the season .

It ended Tom Pugliese's three-year tenure as coach (12-61), leading to Brian Hill's first.

How it looked:

In my mind that '74-'75 team should have won the National Championship

We beat Gettysburg 72-62
Gettysburg beat Bucknell 71-59
Bucknell beat Pitt 72-66
Pitt beat Notre Dame 84-77
Notre Dame beat UCLA 84-78

and everyone seems to think that UCLA was the National Champion. Go figure. They were just ducking us.
