Game 7 - Navy

Post by LU65 » Wed Jan 19, 2022 4:42 pm

4 UP and 2 DOWN............Not a bad start with a "W" over Colgate and a "L" at the hands of Army. Probably what most would have "signed for." The next 6 will be brutal, however, with: 2 Navy / 2 BU / 1 AWP @ home) / 1 HC (away). Pomeroy sees us going 1 -5 and falling by 16 tonight down in Annapolis. Tonight 8 of the 10 PL entries play ball. Lafayette and Holy Cross return to action no Saturday.

Fun Facts:

PL Conference Only "O" stats:

2pt. %: Colgate #1 @ 58.7%....Lehigh #4 @ 53.3%
3pt. %: Navy #1 @ 42.6%....Lehigh #2 @ 38.0%
FT%: Bucknell #1 @ 75.6%....Lehigh #6 @ 69.4%

PL Conferenc Only "D" stats:

2pt. %: Colgate #1 @40.9%
3pt. %: Navy #1 @27.0%

In case you've been out of town for the past few weeks, check out Freshman Keith Higgins (#13) Stats for PL Games only. Quite a sight!

GP: 6
GS: 6
Min/Game: 34.0
FG%: .530
3FG%: .484
Reb/Game: 3.8
Asst/Game: 3.5

Worth the price of admission!

Tired of waiting around for our 7pm start tonight, turn into the AWP/AU game at six. Isn't ESPN+ wonderful!?

Never saw that coming.

I only had the opportunity to watch the stat line. Taylor went off. Higgins played another solid game. Something is still wrong with MWilson.

Interested to hear the back story. Anyhow Lehigh is now 5-2, having beaten 2 of the toughest teams in the league.

Bad week for Navy in this rivalry

Wrestling Lehigh 24-9
W. Basketball Lehigh 99-65
M. Basketball Lehigh 69-61

Caught the 2nd half. We did not fold in the last 10 minutes. Team getting tougher mentally. I hope.

Wow, another great win. I am shocked at how well the PL season is going. But, shoot 45% and 50% from 3, and you will compete vs anyone, home or away. ET scoring at over 17 ppg in his last 4. He’s really coming on. Kudos to the boys for another great effort.

Another really good defensive effort including winning the rebounds. And another good night from the field (50% from 3). We needed all of that to overcome 14 TO's. But what a turnaround in league play.

Are we legit contenders? The next six games will let us know. Boston, Army, HC, Navy Boston, Colgate....

I’d gladly take a split over next 6, but this team keeps surprising us, so who knows.

This team has the ability to surprise us in either direction. I'm learning to savor the successes but temper my expectations. I'd be more confident if MWilson was 100% and playing like I know he can.
