Providence?

Young team returns in 2018-2019 with tons of promise. Can they get back to the NCAA Tournament?

Providence?

Post by jimk72 » Fri Nov 24, 2023 9:23 am

Who will show up for this game? The team that stayed with North Carolina for 3/4 of the game, or the team that blew a winnable game by allowing Monmouth to shoot over 50% overall and more than 50% from 3 point range?

I still feel we have as much talent as anyone in the league. But player development? In game coaching?

The Friars are obviously a real challenge, but hopefully we get the team that played well against The Nits and the Tarheals. And if we do, who knows? National TV on FS2, 7pm tonight.

First time I've seen them play this year.

Lots of talent, but inconsistent.

We shall see how things go in the PL. Could do very well, but you never know ...

As the announcers said, Lehigh is a "scrappy" team and kept fighting, but they missed so many close shots (<5' from rim), they could have really made the game a nail biter for Providence. Not strong enough under the boards, though Momah put on a bit of a show late. Need to get that aggression going sooner. Need those offensive rebounds. Still, this team should be a contender down to the wire in the PL
