I’m at today’s game (along with a handful of other people, a few of whom are also Lehigh fans). Not a good start for the Mountain Hawks, who fell behind by 11 points early and are currently down 20-13 with 11:58 remaining in ghe 1st half. Lehigh has turned it over a few times, and their defense has been too soft, especially inside.

Is Higgins injured?

Higgins fell awkwardly early in the game.

Somewhat strange 1st half, which finished with the hosts holding a 39-34 lead. Loyola was very effective getting the ball inside for easy shots (57% shooting from the field), but Lehigh drove the ball to the basket pretty well. The Mountain Hawks, who had a 52% FG percentage in the first 20 minutes, have not shot well from the foul line however (6 of 11; Loyola only has 4 FT attempts). Both teams turned the ball over a little too much, especially the host Greyhounds, who have 9 turnovers.

Lehigh did do a good job of getting back in the game after falling behind by 11 points early.

Higgins has been on the bench in his warmups since his injury about 5 minutes into the game. One good sign is he is now standing during team huddles, which he wasn’t doing earlier. (When Higgins was injured, he was assisted by two Lehigh personnel to get off the court and wasn’t putting full weight on his legs.)

Great win this evening, probably their best performance of the year down 2 of their best players in Higgins and Parolin.

The 2 guards of Sinclair and TWS came up HUGE.

Best game in a while! The two guards were out of sight tonight and the big guys played tough. Granted, it’s Loyola, but losing Higgins could have been bad, and the team rallied, which is a good sign. Hopefully, a big positive turning point in the season.
