There has been some chatter on the men's basketball board about taking care of the ball and cutting down turnovers (all valid). Claire Steele, the PG for Lehigh has 32 assists and 6 turnovers so far this season. She is currently T6 in the nation in assists and is T13 for assist/turnover although everyone above her has far fewer assists except one (27).

Lehigh has enjoyed a very good start to this season. Hottinger, Grothaus, and Kramer (the Minnesota connection) get a lot of ink but I think Steele is the ne who makes it all happen IMO.

Yup. Watched team's games this year. Claire is a bundle of speed and energy. A joy to watch

Absolutely. Claire is the cool leader out there. She also has a very good shot, if need be.

To your point, Steele didn't play last night against Villanova and Lehigh lost a winnable game.
Steele's absence (with some kind of injury) left the team vulnerable to the press Villanova used in the 4th quarter.
Coach Troyan pretty much said with Steele at the point, Lehigh's big lead would not have disappeared
