U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS
Re: U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS
6 of 6 FS Olympians east of Mississippi.
5 of 6 from Cortland, NY to MD.
Recruiting? No real need to go anywhere from VA to NY and get the elite multi-year state champs.
Only other two places to stick your nose into are Cleveland area with St.Edwards and St. Ignatius and then the Chicagoland powerhouse of Marmion Academy and Montini Catholic and Oak Park/River Forest HS.
LVWC and Lehigh need to get more aggressive in recruiting elite athletes to the Lehigh Valley. The contentment of Lehigh University across the board for average academic programs, average placement at NCAA at #15 should not cut it. It has become the pervasive attitude of the last two college Presidents at Lehigh. Very unfortunate.
Kerry needs to up his game at LVWC. It was a horrible showing in the premier year of a 3 year cycle of training.

This interview had to be extremely tough for KYLE DAKE who has been training at the Penn State NLWC. He defeats his team-mate in the Finals who has been there to support him, amongst others,.. during these difficult times.

Re: U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS
Quite a number of Penn State-Penn State matches or NLWC-NLWC or PA-PA matches. Hagerstown, MD just across the border from Gettysburg, PA and Cortland, NY just about 30 mile across border from Athens, PA. A pretty concentrated area from where all the Olympians are from in wrestling sans Parris who is from a western suburb of Indianapolis, IN and a nice town Brownsburg, IN.1/2NELSON wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 9:03 pm This interview had to be extremely tough for KYLE DAKE who has been training at the Penn State NLWC. Re: U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS
It has not and love these PA wrestlers, but it would be a shame to not see -65kg there 2 cycles in a row. Last time, local Jordan Oliver and others on US team were unable to qualify -65kg. Having seen Jordan wrestle since his elementary school days, it was very sad day to not see him there.D3 for LU wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 5:35 amWell... you know what they say:HFO wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 12:48 pmHate to say it, but 65kg might miss out again. I hope Zain can beat the odds in Turkey and get it done.

The Turks don't like their country being called "Turkey" It's "Türkiye". Say "Turkey" in front of a Turk and be prepared for a dressing down.1/2NELSON wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 11:45 am From TURKEY:
