Actually, the two towns in My School District did not go away from Operartor only Dialling and Party lines until about 1961. We were among the first folks in the Harrisburg area to use 7 numeral numbers instead of a 2 letter exchange and 5 digits. People were saying there was "scientific proof" that know one could remember more than 5 digits.

I know those towns....Hooterville, Pixley, Crabwell Corners and Stankwell Falls. I got to know the Douglas family, Oliver Wendell and Lisa. Mr Haney was a character.Richb-3 wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 1:24 pmActually, the two towns in My School District did not go away from Operartor only Dialling and Party lines until about 1961. Re: Recruits
Is it strange that we haven't heard anything from Ryan Crookham since his withdrawal from Who's #1. I understand he lost a HS season due to PIAA transfer rules but I thought we might see him in some of these open tournaments that many of our other recruits seem to be entering.
Just a thought.
BTW, Patrick Edmondson nemesis Levi Haines has committed to Penn State. He is #12 in the 2022 class and a recent Cadet Champion.

Wasn’t there also an injury involved?TMH wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 8:32 pm Is it strange that we haven't heard anything from Ryan Crookham since his withdrawal from Who's #1. Re: Recruits
It was posted on various sources that it was a concussion last year.....obviously concussions are concerning but he may just be playing it safe and healing for next fall wrestling season since with transfer he wasnt going to wrestle this past year anyway..... either way best of health to him....
Re: Recruits
I believe I read on some thread that a state team competition was being held this weekend involving Carter Bailey and PJ Casale. Has it started and has anyone seen any results?
Re: Recruits
It's kind of hard to look for just one or two guys, although I did see that Bailey won his first bout (something like 11-2, I think). It's a team competition and they were running 50 mats at once (I'm not exaggerating!). I found a Results page and just CTRL-F'd Carter Bailey and Casale; saw the win by Bailey, nothing for Casale.
Then the stuff about Koll hit the news and I stopped paying attention.
