Qualifications only require one to three years of "related work experience" - whatever that is.

Hope we don't get someone whose primary asset is "diversity", which seems to be the modus du jour in the U.S.

Best thing in terms of diversity that we could do is hire a left-handed coach. Teach the team that not everyone leads with their right.

Part of what I said about Darian could apply to Zach. I don't think they ever formally opened up the position when John left.
Although I note it says master's degree preferred.
Maybe Zach is joining his brother in his construction business.

Don't sweat it MH - you're too old for the job.

Actually, most of it isn't "woke-ass horseshit", it's the damned lawyers complicating everything.

Only reason "law suit defensive wording" exists is because of a litany of a-holes that have populated our locker rooms over the past. Have we forgotten Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan State, and others already?

One of the assistants at Thad's 80th b-day party told me of a possibility that he might coach just one more year. Both his wife and I were surprised, but life has a way of going on.

Darian was not in a position to be appointed to the 2nd full-time asst berth when John, as long as he was actively competing. Too much time away from the team. So it was Zach who assumed that seat w/out much fanfare. All four have done very well for the program in various ways. Uber-recruit P.J. Casale - a fellow NJ-ite like Rey - commented publicly about how much Zach did to prepare for his eventual trip to Buenos Aires for Pan Ams. Damian is beloved by just about everybody. Three staff paid by Lehigh, Volunteer Asst paid by LVWC but cannot officially recruit

My understanding now is pretty much what I guessed first. The appointments were made interim and they are now making permanent. They'll make decisions based on who shows up.

I concur. I've been vocal for Simon's removal for 2 years. It happened. Hopefully the new President can exist in a proper fashion or he will be a short-termer also.

 What in hell is a “proper fashion”?
And you advocated for Simon’s removal? Sounds like a major case of “cancel culture “ to me
