I've just been lurking. New job and new baby taking up all my posting time! But I'm always lurking.
I leave it to mookie to stir the pot.
Of course, you do!

"In the United States, the Olympics will be broadcast entirely by NBC and its affiliates. NBC owns the exclusive rights to Olympic broadcasts and will use its family of networks to broadcast the events.
NBC will broadcast the major prime-time events (on tape delays) while providing a little late-night and early-morning live coverage. Meanwhile USA, NBCSN and CNBC will focus on airing the other major events (live and delayed) in America. Golf Channel will air the men's and women's golf competitions while the Olympic Channel will focus largely on tennis and wrestling during the Olympics.
Peacock, NBC's free streaming service, will be the main way for Americans to stream the Summer Games. Peacock will air some events live, including the team gymnastics competitions and the U.S. men's basketball team's games, and will also have coverage available to watch on tape delay. NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports App will provide similar services."
Tennis and wrestling - now there's an odd combination.

Toast: glad to see you again. That is unless you have been posting under another name!
Very good cartoon, although I prefer "Get off my lawn."
I've seen that one... but, of course, my preference is:
this version from
Gran Torino. (tanxs, Clint.
)

Repechage is the wrong term for what we know to be consolations or wrestlebacks. Repechage imply a method for getting back into championship contention. For example, in Rowing and flat water canoeing/kayaking, For example there might be six preliminary races the winners of the heat get into the semifinals. but the non winners compete in the repechage to get into the semi finals. So the preliminary heat winners will be in their third race in the finals, but those who get there via repechage are in their 4th or 5th race.. The losers bracket in many softball tournaments is a form or repechage. ////but victory thru the Repechage semis, and finals can get one gold.
But in wrestling, and other combat sports repechage is a way to get bronze
Pretty sure there is some repechage in Track Bicycling. Other events, I don't know.

>>Women kneeling....there is an unspoken comment here.
.... Oh, great ... add sexism to the original topic of criticizing others' rights to decry racism
.... As Allen Brown used to say famously: "On we go..."

Well....if you need an "ism"...then sexism will do just fine.

Was turned off by freestyle years ago when they did the ball grab. May give another chance.
I think you are confused. That wasn't freestyle, that was the doctor for Ohio State Wrestling back when Jim Jordan was the Assistant Coach.
