Has Koll already started grey-shirting at Stanford?
The time-table for Provo’s collegiate career is also changing. While he’ll head to Palo Alto to start classes in September, he will not be rostered on Stanford’s team until the fall of 2022.

“I’m taking a gap year,” Provo explained.
He had nowhere to go at Cornell, although that might have nothing to do with it: Vito with three years eligibility, Greg D. with four years, and higher-ranked recruits Ungar and Cornella at 125/133 in the same class as Sokol.

Darrah also has nowhere to go: Darmstadt with a year (or *possibly* two) at 197, then Cardenas with three or four years, plus Hatcher with four, and Fernandes with three or four at 285.

Due to COVID, Cornell has multiple outstanding recruiting classes stacked up.

And for all the grief Koll has taken on this forum ("SUNY-Ithaca", bending the rules, etc.), it could be that his recruits really like him.

The point of my posts was in response to Koll having a “lost” recruiting year per topic, don’t really care why they aren’t theoretically going to Cornell.

They are both quality recruits no matter what program they are coming from.

It’s a process for sure and to think this would not happen is curious. Rob is the recruiter and Grey is the trainer. More to come based on geography. Rob Koll made recruiting a national pursuit, unlike Lehigh, the times they are a changing

Mike Grey mentioned this in June:
Shifting gears to a few highlights related to the schedule. MAN do I have a surprise for you!! The first dual of my career as the head coach of Cornell University will be against Stanford at the Friedman Wrestling Center. We are still working on an exact time and date (the head coach over there is a real challenge), but I believe it will be the weekend before Thanksgiving. A few other duals worth noting will be against both the US Military Academy and the US Naval Academy.

Poor guy . It's like watching a car wreck happen right before your eyes and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

>>>>>> One would expect a few recruits to de-commit and go out west since they actually upgrade their academics. Coach Koll just did to Cornell what he's done to everyone over the years -- don't stop recruiting a guy you want until he enrolls. As for scheduling -- bringing in Stanford is a ballsy move. Maybe we should give him a chance?

CONS:
* No Ag School

Welllllll ..... yes and no: its school nickname exists for good reason:

A farm for sustainable agriculture
Stanford University has been affectionately known as "The Farm" ever since it was established by founders Leland and Jane Stanford on their Palo Alto stock farm. The Stanfords' founding grant decreed that "a farm for instruction in agriculture" should forever be maintained on university lands.

In 2014 the School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences established the O'Donohue Family Stanford Educational Farm on 6 acres near the university's historic Red Barn. The new farm comes out of nearly 20 years of student and faculty advocacy and planning in favor of a learning farm.

The farm is a living laboratory offering academic and experiential learning opportunities for the Stanford community and beyond. The farm utilizes agroecological relationships and natural diversity to grow over 200 varieties of vegetables, flowers, herbs, field crops and fruit. Students come to the farm to test new ideas about the biological, social and environmental aspects of farming and gain experience in the practice of sustainable agriculture.

Yeah, but is it CUNY-Palo Alto in terms of admissions? :)

I think we went over this before but admittance to the SUNY Ag School is no walk in the park, It could be tougher than Lehigh
