effects of the College injury rul

Period 1 - A-Td, B-E, A-Td, B-E, A-Td, B-E, A-Td, B-E. score after 1 pd 8-4 A

Period 2 - A -E, A-Td, B-E, B-Td (with injury to A), B-E Score after 2 pd 11-8 A

Period 3 - B- E, A-Td, B-E, B-Td (with injury to A), B-1 point penalty, B-E Score after 3 14-13 A, despite a 6-2 TD advantage in TD for A

Nice Rule.

The rationale behind it is to reduce fake injuries.
It worked. Hopefully it didn't reduce real injury tos.
Bout pace increased maybe 5%.

The HS rule might not be unreasonable. Or possibly in a dual, throw in penalties when the number of injuries exceeds half the wrestlers, In college that would be 1 team point for each injury past 5. HS past 7.

It worked.

... I'd guess so, but we'll never know what pct were fake. Most othere sports allow a time-out

>>>>Hopefully it didn't reduce real injury too.

... ? I'd worry that real injuries can't be treated promptly due to the dumb rule.

>>>>Bout pace increased maybe 5%.

... Not much, but it does reduce crowds complaining about fake injuries. I still maintain it's 1 of the dumbest rules in any sport.

Did you know Jordan is the only Lehigh wrestler who competed in the high school "Who's #1" competition. This year's Who's #1 is being held this Friday night in Texas.

So after 9 years of this event Lehigh has only been able to recruit one wrestler.
