Weight Classes

Something from the LUWN -- "Lane and Hines will be back at the same weight." That's somewhat surprising but good news nonetheless. Both should be bigger and more physical which is what they need to compete for Saturday bouts in March.

Not good news if Pretzel or Hines winds up watching from the stands.

Never lament anyone having to sit. They will make one another better. This happens all the time at Iowa and other top programs. No issue with ever having too much talent. Injuries also happen.

So assuming this is true does Paetzell go 141 or McGonagle?

Wonder how that plays out in the room, that is assuming Hines can lock down the 133 spot. I can't see McGonagle going up to 149 to take on Hoffman (or MB IV). Dan Moran and Drew Munch floating around there also......

Definitely nice having options as the Oracle stated.

I'd be surprised if Hines can beat a healthy Paetzell, but one never knows.

Maybe Matt Rodriguez shocks the world and beats both of them? 258-8 for his high school career with 207 pins so he has some cred albeit Florida.

I’d be surprised if he couldn’t. Recruiting studs makes the room tougher

Quick observation:

At the picnic. Hines and Logan introduced each other. IMO, no casual observer would think that they were 5 weight classes apart. Logan was a bit thicker. Hines may have been a bit taller.
