Yes. My son got spiked on the top of his foot for his. Somebody mentioned it was a lisfranc with Garcia which is why I mentioned it. If it’s really an ankle then that is a different story (though my daughter had high ankle sprain in soccer and missed around two months I think)

Re: Lehigh Update
Cornell has freshmen from the class of 2019 (e.g., Ramirez), 2020 (e.g. Greg Diakomihalis), and 2021 (e.g. Craft) this year. Vito is a sophomore from the class of 2017.jdalu75 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 9:44 amProbably not. Last year didn't count against eligibility, so this year can be his redshirt year. Some of our true freshmen who wrestled last year can redshirt this year and come back next year as r/s freshmen. It's going to be weird for awhile. Imagine the confusion if any of them had greyshirted before enrolling -- four different high school classes could be called freshmen.

At this rate, some of the wrestlers might have sons competing on the same team at the same time before this is all over.NothingMeaningful wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 2:10 pmCornell has freshmen from the class of 2019 (e.g., Ramirez), 2020 (e.g. Greg Diakomihalis), and 2021 (e.g. Craft) this year. I seem to remember a D3 case Where a football father returned to school 20 years later and was on a team with his son

Re: Lehigh Update
Regardless of what the exact injury is or how long GG will be out -- what I heard means that it isn't a torn ACL/MCL/PCL combo, no surgery is called for, it will heal on its own. That sounds pretty good to me.

Earl Smith posted a Lehigh preview on Intermat a couple of days ago (behind the firewall). I can't share everything due to copyright laws, but I have no problems relating a few details.
Earl mentions that Lehigh was one of the teams hardest-hit by Covid last year (not to mention that the EIWA was probably the hardest-hit conference, not even counting the loss of seven teams). Still managed to win EIWAs and qualify all ten for NCAAs. Lehigh one of just two teams to qualify 10 twice in the past four seasons (37 qualifiers out of 40 possible during that span).
Moran lost last season due to shoulder surgery. JT Davis had a knee injury last year.
Paetzell has had shoulder surgery and will miss most or all of the season. I figure the only way he can return for next year is with an NCAA injury waiver. Earl claims that Garcia broke a foot.

Re: Lehigh Update
I heard Gilmore's explanation second-hand and it's not ACL or ankle, it's foot/calf related. If it is lis franc, recovery depends on the severity. Even if it is lis franc, mild recovery can take 3 mo. With surgery, up 6-12 weeks
I'm not into speculation but if a bright light were held in my face, I'd assume he'd R/S wrestling 1st-yr, since that was likely anyway. There is zero reason for me to speculate in any way to benefit wrestling. His life, not mine
