Save The Date-Cornell Luncheon

Post by TMH » Fri Nov 05, 2021 12:34 pm

I'm pleased to announce that the Senior Alumni Council has gotten the go ahead to hold their annual (almost) Wrestling luncheon at Rathbone Hall, this year prior to the Cornell match on January 8.

We should have about 50 wrestling tickets available for those attending the luncheon. Cost is not available at this time.

Our guest speaker will once again be Denny Diehl, who has graciously agreed to give an update on our rivalry with Cornell and the state of the Lehigh program in general.

When I get more information, I will pass it along.

The registration for the luncheon prior to the Cornell match is now available

https://mylehigh.lehigh.edu/s/1127/inte ... E_25183%5d

The details are on the registration.

I hope many of you can make it. For those out of the area, the match with Binghamton is the night before so it would make a nice wrestling weekend.

Just wanted to bump this up for those still looking to attend the Lehig-Cornell wrestling match and would like to add a nice luncheon and talk to their agenda. We still have tickets available for the match.

Where are the seats? Do Cornell fans get heckled?

Typically the seats are in the 2nd level which is not far from the mat. Tickets are only $7. Truthfully, my seats are in the section next to the visiting fans. I haven't noticed any heckling ever unless the visiting fans are obnoxious.

So the seats are in 207/208/209? So $7 instead of $11, and you get lunch. I attended a match in 2017, I believe sitting in 109.

As for the heckling, I meant at the lunch :-)

Yes, I believe the tickets are in either 208 or 209. Section 109 is typically reserved for the away team since it is located behind the away team bench.

The luncheon is $20 and the tickets are $7. Check the registration for the menu etc.
