Kimo Leia

On second thought ....... Kimo Leia from Selma, CA (near Fresno) located in central California, looks to me to be a major recruit. The kid is slapped together and as we all know, California produces some very elite wrestlers. IMO, Kimo could be one of them. How did he get interested in Lehigh -- there has to be a back story.

Selma is a very successful program == putting big time recruits onto D1 rosters: Richard Figueroa and Tristan Lujan.

There very well may be a backstory but as alluded to in another thread, the real surprise is not that we are getting a couple of recruits from California but why it took so long.

The only states with more undergraduates on Lehigh's campus are PA, New Jersey and New York. Other sports have been reaping the benefits of recruiting California with far more in-state competition.

Lehigh's sole satellite Admissions office is near San Francisco which is where the NASDAQ Center is located. Pat should be utilizing this connection to identify future prospects perhaps.

Just my opinion.

Apparently LU is also close to bringing his brother Mauna on board.

... if you mean why so long to get a few at a time, I did check that and it's more often than we think
... if why so long to get top kids, a half century suggests reasons; why not more blue chips in ACC?
... I see just 2 starters for more than a year (Toth and Regan); another EIWA 1st (Hyman) & placer LaMay
2 of those were elec engineers; Hyman 1 of the USA's top institutional bond salesmen.
