EIWA

The year off doesn't mean the Ivies won't be a major factor this year. Cornell, IMO, will be the obvious favorite in the EIWA this year......but.....Princeton, UPenn and.....wait for it --- Harvard will put some very talented wrestlers on the mat. Harvard has quietly assembled a solid line-up that will turn some heads come tournament time.

Who do you think Harvard has that will turn heads at the EIWAs? Sotelo, Conigliaro, Slavilouski and who else? And only Sotelo is not a known quantity: the others won't turn heads.

The problem with the Ivies is that so many of them haven't been seen in so long that it's hard to know what to expect. Leo Tarantino came in the same year as Josh Kim and was a better recruit. Quite a few Ivy wrestlers will compete only in the spring semester, in an effort to save eligibility. I was surprised to see how many decent recruits Brown has who are still eligible. Will they wrestle? Remains to be seen.

125 shaping up to be a very interesting weight again in EIWA’s…... You got Vito, Glory, Lane, Sotelo, Manchio, possibly Greg D and so on …. Not sure what to think of Allen at this point….Will be interesting to see how many qualifying spots EIWA gets at 125….If Vito goes have to assume Vito and Glory for title, but if Greg D goes then will be a dogfight for 2nd thru 5th….Manchio and Lane are dangerous but obviously I think Glory wins if no Vito….

The season of means that some IVY guys may be a bit rusty. But maybe many have cured a dozen years of nagging injuries.
