Anthony Noto is a interesting story, came from a small town (Honeoye-Lima) about an hour southeast of Buffalo...was in section 5 which is Rochester section...only wrestler to ever win a state title from his high school, and he won 4 of them (NYS D2)....used to drive about an hour north 2 or 3 times a week to train with Greg Diakomihalis and Hilton crew (G2 Academy).....would show up at tournaments with maybe 3 or 4 other wrestlers from his high school but you knew when he was there.......went to NC State for a year then transferred to Lockhaven.......was very tough physical wrestler for his size....

Will be interested to see how Noto does against Lane later this week if he is the starter?

Noto lost to Gage Curry in semi's of Clarion open in SV 3-1.......Curry then went on to lose finals To Bailey 1-0....not sure what to make of him right now or if he is redshirting this year, would assume Luke Werner is starter unless he's injured..... Noto did wrestle unattached for Lockhaven at both Mat Town and Clarion Open so assuming he is red shirting while Werner finishes career (redshirt senior) unless Werner has been injured......

Noto also had knocked off Werner in wrestle offs back in October. Looks like they won’t miss a beat after Werner moves on.

Noto wrestling unattached also won the Shorty Hitchcock a few weeks ago beating Ungar from Cornell/Spartan in semis 6-2.

Werner on the other hand won the Navy Classic two weeks ago.

I agree nice succession plan in place for Lockhaven which is good to see they’ve had a tough couple years….

I seem to recall they also signed the JC National champ at 125 --- where's he?
