He's decent but not exactly a world-beater.

Red Pool A:

Lehigh vs. Central Michigan
Lehigh vs. Iowa
Iowa vs. Central Michigan

Blue Pool A:
Cornell vs. Northern Iowa (again?)
Northern Iowa vs. Penn State
Cornell vs. Penn State

Probably Lehigh vs. NC State, Virginia Tech vs. Cornell the next day.

Binghamton will get crushed by Missouri and NC State, then probably get beaten by Central Michigan. Hofstra gets Arizona State and Virginia Tech, then probably UNI.

He’s a two time All American with a 4th place finish last year…. With Howard injured that’s a hell of a lot better than the Brady Shunk option at this point….

Rob Koll tried very hard to get PSU on the schedule to no avail. Obviously, PSU has a lot of fire power but Cornell has a nice team with plenty of high octane guys as well. The transfer of Max Dean allows Jonathan Loew to start and I suspect he will be a key cog in the Big Red machine this year. 184 is his best weight.

Pretty tough up top from 165 on. What's the story with Darmstadt?

_______________

I'm also interested to see how Lehigh's middle weights progress as the season moves forward: Bryant, Humphreys, Meyer and Logan form a critical nucleus. Logan beating Pasuik was telling. Meyer beating Revano and Heller and then the big Pitt win shows he has grown into a nice sized 165. IMO that was something he was missing and now it appears he can complete attacks with his improved horsepower. 149, 157, 165 -- Lehigh is jacked.

Just watched the Meyers match again today. Meyers has always been a very smart wrestler with excellent technique. This year as others have noted, the strength is there which now is leading to an increased confidence. Nice first takedown and got himself out of some tough Wentzel under hooks and front headlocks. Last takedown was also a muscle move to get out of a Wentzel trip attempt.

Still early but love the upward trajectory.

Remember that Meyer took down Vincenzo Joseph in the Penn State dual two years ago. Nothing fluky about it -- hit a single leg, pulled it in, and broke Joseph down. Perfect move. What looks different is now he's completing moves if they're not perfect.

Yes, they are. Then at 174, you have Logan who is a skilled tactician but not very strong.
