Cornell having a tough day so far....3 weights two and barbecue (125,141, and 285)...174 Foca loses in round of 16, 157 Santoro loses in round of 16 and 133 LaJoie loses in round of 16.....not exactly the lineup they are hoping for with Darmstadt, Arajau, Fernandes out but they definitely have some decisions to make....Greg D has to figure out how to make his style work at the college level, if he can (pretty sure eventually he will, but he is a stumpy looking 125).....the decision on Vito at 133 or 125 is going to be interesting, if he still has any interest in 125 (my guess is he does).....141 Saunders has not wrestled as planned and Handlovic wrestling 141 currently for the Big Red looks game but over matched athletically, seems big enough but wants to wrestle low scoring defensive matches, not the Cornell current roster style....

Loew, Ramirez and Cardenas into quarters winning what even those on the Cornell boards deem "uninspired" matches and well Yianni just out there being Yianni, two early second period tech falls

Just some thoughts on EIWA wrestling going on as we prepare for a big dual weekend....

Not a good team at this point. They've quickly morphed into a mid-tier Ivy.

That would put them somewhere between Penn/Princeton and Columbia. I don't think they've fallen that far on their worst day.

Maybe i did not look deep enough, but I only saw D1 at CKLV. No D2, D3, Naia, (JCC, club?)

Some great finals coming up ….

Yianni vs Sasso
Wick vs Griffith

Just to name two….

Also a potentially great 3rd place match in Kharchla vs Ramirez

Yianni completely controlled Sasso in final….won 6-2 with over two and a half minutes of riding time….so much for him being small for 149….. Wick looked equally dominate beating Griffith….

Pat Glory looks like a huge 125 and won final 13-0 over 7th ranked Schroeder from Purdue…..as announcer said he gets considerably better as he gets farther away from weigh ins, Glory must cut big time

Harvard heavy who made finals looked like he blew out his knee against Gas Tank Gary and had to default… heavy not a great weight class at tourney….. anybody know why Mason Parris didn’t wrestle? He was matside ….

An even 3:00 RT. Didn't look like Sasso was even trying to get out.

So, they send like six of their starters (maybe five when all is said and done), have one champion, two thirds and a fourth, and finish seventh outscoring Princeton by 17.5 points, and they're mid-tier Ivy?

Tough crowd.
