Taylor got the takedowns and Catka got the escapes - which were purrfection.

The Jonathan Park of Navy who beat Lawrence earlier appears to be Val Park; they only have one Park on the roster and he wrestles at 165. He's a junior, 12-7 on the season coming into today, appears to be Navy's starter.

Tough kid. 3 x Oklahoma state champion. Navy has the Oklahoma connection down.

Taylor loses to Princeton's Matt Cover 8-3 which surprises me a bit. Three time Ohio state placer, highest finish was third, he is a third year college wrestler which obviously doesn't hurt.

Didn't see the match, came up faster than I expected, if anyone did let me know how it went.

All Lehigh wrestlers now in consi's or finished.

Pretty typical lower-tier EIWA heavyweight match. Lots of pushing, a couple of sloppy shots by Taylor led to Cover takedowns (very early and very late). Not a lot of skill shown on either side.

Cover got majored by Jakobsen at 197 in 2020. Definitely smaller than Taylor.

Neither wrestler did much. All 3 of Cover's TDs were counters off Taylor's shots. The last one was in desperation time, the 2nd. one was a weak shot and the first was a questionable choice that you usually don't see in folk style. Cover was a little more athletic in this match, but Taylor could certainly win a rematch.

I was hoping for a little more too, but whoever comes out of the lower half is gonna meet the terminator in the finals. Hendrickson's been tearing it up.

Taylor moves a bit more on his feet to beat NC 2-0 and will now face 9 lives Catka from Navy again. Seems like he’s wrestled him a lot this year already between all of these open tournaments.
