New Line-Up
Re: New Line-Up
I think Bryant was spotted well into the season with a cast or boot or some contraption on one of his legs.
Re: New Line-Up
I don't think it's an injury.
The idea of Manzona moving up to 165 is intriguing. IMO, he could easily add even more horsepower but he would have a speed advantage to be sure. That combination of explosiveness and strength would pose match-up problems for a lot of people. He will have to protect against fading late in bouts, but that may have been more about the pull than his natural gas tank. Hopefully, he gets squared away and is back in the room next season.

Pretty sure I spotted him myself as described at a dual. Possible that I'm wrong, though.
Re: New Line-Up
MB was injured. Any possibility that Humphreys bumps up to 165? Would open things up a bit at 149-157. Would also create some competitive situations at 174-184 as guys scramble up. something we lacked at the upper weights this year.

Re: New Line-Up
My opinion?
Would be a major mistake moving Humphreys to 165…. He has yet to “truly” AA (2 blood round losses, one no tournament year and one injury year) in 4 years of college wrestling at 157, and before you argue he was awarded AA for year they didnt have the tournament when he was the 7 seed….. well he was the 7 seed this year also, didn’t make him an AA……he does not have the biggest frame for a 157 lber much less a 165 lber…..he’s strong as an ox but length and leverage matter also…..
You have one solid AA “potential” wrestler on the team…. Why would you move him off the weight he is the best fit at?

Agree.
Re: New Line-Up
IF MB4 cannot defeat Meyer in Wrestle off, and I assume he cannot beat Humphreys, He just needs to be the primary backup at both weights, a couple of duals in each. Then 157 is likely his the next two years.

Re: New Line-Up
By the way none of that is a put down of Josh, the kid is a stud.....his situation reminds me of Ryan Preisch from a couple years ago, just needs to break thru.....if he wins his blood round match and AA's, he's capable of running the table........
Re: New Line-Up
Josh is my favorite Lehigh wrestler to watch since Austin Meys. When his bouts are over my shoulders ache!
