Even with a few inaccuracies -- the over-arching point is valid. Lehigh has busted a move in NJ. Uber stud Brian Soldano did go to Rutgers but the staff is doing a nice job filling holes and snagging upper echelon recruits which hasn't happened in this concentration in NJ for some time. This gives LU a chance to battle both Princeton and Cornell within the EIWA more favorably moving forward.

However, several programs are poaching Bethlehem Catholic and other local high schools -- also have to protect The Homeland when there is an academically qualified recruit. Between Dist 11 and NJ, Lehigh can be nationally relevant.

Edit: two guys that Lehigh could really use are PJ Duke (MInisink Valley NY's #1 team) and Joe Sealey (Wyoming Seminary) -- Duke will be a soph next year and Sealey will be a junior. Everyone will want these 2. Either would be a game changer for LU, like Crookham and maybe better.

I'd worry more about Penn than Princeton.

Good point --- I was thinking UPenn when I typed Princeton -- was thinking of Delbarton's Glory.

Having Mike Grey at Cornell also doesn't help our cause with Delbarton.

Good school academically, and they are very good in a couple of sports, but mookie's post holds a lot of truth. I would think nowadays $50k is understating the cost.

No idea where all the anti-Delbarton stuff comes from ... and given the way we tuck our LU tuition right under the Ivy umbrella it's hard for me to get upset about private school prices, which tend to simply mimic each other.

p.s. It's froo-froo 8-)

Hard to say if a school like DelBarton Remains a power. Shady Side Academy (the SanDavols of Penn) was, 20 years ago, one of the strongest AA programs in Pa. They no longer have a team.
