Lehigh recruiting NJ

It was a very good year!
Bergen Catholic seniors Onello and Brancato both placed 7th .... remember, any podium spot in NJ is awesome since it's a one-class state. Both will provide depth and strengthen relationship with one of NJ's top high schools.

..... followed by junior commits 106 3rd Wadle (North Hunterdon), 120 2nd Stanich (Roxbury)* and 144 4th Grungo (St Augustine) who was in possibly the deepest weight class.

Over-all, a great haul. Getting back in the game in NJ is a game-changer for LU. We need to make inroads with Delbarton to complete our NJ surge.

FYI... Greg Surenian wrestled for Randolph HS (Rams) same as his younger brother, Jeff.
Roxbury's (Gaels) rival.

(From a fellow Morris Co. wrestler(& fan) from that time period... wrestled HS in the early to mid 70's. )

So far there will be 4 New Jersey recruits entering Lehigh in 2023.

This past season, I believe there were only 5 NJ wrestlers on the entire roster. If not for Bryant's mid-season absence, only Meyer would have had mat time.

The tide turns but only time will tell how much impact this class will have.
