Tate Samuelson. 184. Wyoming
Re: Tate Samuelson. 184. Wyoming
Betancourt beat Delaney in the latter's championship bracket bout. Then he was eliminated in the blood round

All I know is that a kid with the same name as a pretty decent beer can't be all bad.
Re: Tate Samuelson. 184. Wyoming
I can see I left too many clues for this astute group, even if intentionally head faking w/one piece slightly off.
Gimp confirmed he only took a couple of classes at LH; don't ask, can't tell since we don't know; like 'Naked Gun' "that doesn't matter, anymore" ... also like "you can never have too many 125s" ... ask other schools (obviously have no idea what weight this Fall).

Wrestled his whole career at 184, so don't see that changing.....so you have Beard, JT Davis and Garcia at 197.....Samuelson and maybe Rogers at 184 (impressive drop if true, maybe he redshirts for the year to find out if he can handle it while Samuelson wrestles his final year).......Does Burkhart make drop to 174 to compete with Lawrence and Logan? Does Logan shoot for 165?
Going to be an interesting battle for roster spots up and down the lineup next year that's for sure....

JT Davis is wrestling 184.
Re: Tate Samuelson. 184. Wyoming
Spladdle: I think you called it on all counts. Having multiple Grade-A starters at the same weight isn't bad. In fact, it's good. If Rogers is heading to 184, let him do it even if loses ranking bout with Samuelson. Injuries happen....guys need to be ready to step in. Bryant and Brignola at 149, Meyer and Logan at 165, Lawrence and Burkhart at 174, Samuelson and Rogers at 184, Beard, Davis, Garcia at 197. All good if that's how it shakes out. You just don't see guys at top programs wrestling up unless there is a need to fill a line-up hole. Not these days anyway. The top programs have everyone down to weight even in RS years. There is really no other way to evaluate what you really have. Plus, it really fine tunes the starters who emerge from that kind of brisk competition.

Probably his best bet, although still will be a tough weight to crack in coming years if Rogers does somehow make the drop and holds it.......
Re: Tate Samuelson. 184. Wyoming
Brignola can always take his redshirt next year. Then after Humph wins his national championship there will be a little more room at the 149-165 range in 23-24.
