Re: '22-'23 Schedule
to hell with Penn St
forget Michigan also.
The field continues to tilt and we don't need to try to compete on it like it isn't.

Re: '22-'23 Schedule
In my opinion no one should schedule Penn State with the exception of other big 10 teams and a couple other exceptions......but weaker teams will because they need the money/recognition (Sacred Heart, Rider etc)..... Rider lost to them 45-0 last year and Sacred Heart lost 47-3 when Sacred Heart's top guy barely beat Penn State's 4th stringer at 149 lbs in the 157 lb match .......do we need the money, the recognition?
Much like the NBA not a fan of a couple "Super Teams" and then everyone else......don't really see it as good for wrestling as a whole......but Cael and his fanbase don't give a damn.....so why schedule them? Go to a couple of the big tourneys and let our guys battle their guys at the event if they see them, otherwise other than a couple weights it is just a waste of time and honestly not that fun to watch as a fan.....

PSU's no ordinary tradition, as the all-time top dual tradition anywhere in the East. Covid's the only thing to kill this cat since 1933, which no other rivalry outside the ancient Ivies can claim (or any rivalry where the two are historical Top 20s)
Lucky for us, Pat has scheduled Okla St enough times to be the only LU coach ever to beat them (now 2x).

To all of you that want to throw in the towel on Penn State dual, I am stunned that you advocate conceding our legacy in this sport to downsize our schedule. Oracle makes it even worse by conceding EIWA supremacy to Cornell as the only school in the East that should wrestle Penn State.
This is the year we should be back in Top 10 with experienced underclassman with credentials including Beard transfer. Time to stop conceding & expect excellence & demand top competition to fill our arenas once again.
We need to be expecting excellence & supporting it financially not throwing in the towel. Shame on all of you except Drd!!

Ummmm no......
No one is "conceding our legacy in the sport".......our legacy in the sport will continue as long as we still are a top 20 type team or better on a yearly basis, with a few AA prospects each year.......getting our ass kicked on a yearly basis by a NIL superteam will not somehow help us hold onto our legacy in the sport.....

Lost 42-0 in 2018 with no offensive points scored. That was it for me.
