'22-'23 Schedule
Re: '22-'23 Schedule
>>2002.....come on man, that's 20 years ago.
Really? I'm not so good at subtraction, like some Chicken Littles are trying to drop the series by freaking out over Cael's only win vs us of over 23 pts; only 3 of 11 by 20 or more.
'22- A-- 16-23
'20- H-- 10-23
'19- A--- 0-42
'18- H-- 19-23
'17- A-- 10-30
'16- H--- 9-28
'15- A-- 10-24
'14- H-- 12-22
'13- A--- 6-29
'12- H-- 12-24
'11- A-- 17-21
I'm guessing no naysayer here was present among the record 9,896 who attended our extremely well-run PPL dual just 4 yrs ago, not 20. When Wood had Nevills' leg in the air for 20+ sec, the move that nearly brought a humongous upset. No dual, no possible Great Moment in Sports.
P.S. 6-AA Michigan lost 5 of them; I'd love to meet them again.
Wanna drop 5-AA ASU, too, all of 'em returning?? Came within a hair of 4 straight dual wins vs them.

Re: '22-'23 Schedule
Pathetic because it sticks to facts vs your renowned opinions?
Now you're offering pt predictions vs. scrapping the dual ?

Re: '22-'23 Schedule

Re: '22-'23 Schedule
No, just pathetic on your statements own merits….
I like PSU by 20 more than by just 10 oh great Lehigh svengali lol…… bottom line in 2022 until things change wrestling PSU is a waste of time and does not cement any kind of Lehigh legacy by wrestling them…… but go ahead and lick Cael’s backside and buy into the “need” to wrestle them….. no thanks….. would much rather add a VaTech or Rutgers or North Carolina or Stanford to our yearly schedule….

We are EIWA.
Tradition of Ivy. Penn, Princeton, Columbia, Harvard, Cornell, Brown.
Penn State, Pittsburgh...rivalries matter win or lose. Young kids from that region see there are other options.
Academies. USNA and USMA. Nice campuses. Respect.
EIWA Pennsylvania schools. Bucknell, Drexel
NJ universities. Rutgers & Rider
Maryland/DC region. Maryland, American
16 duals.
Rotate a Major to Grace Hall each year: Iowa, Oklahoma State, Ohio State, Michigan, Arizona State, Virginia Tech.
After that: WV, other PA schools, Virginia schools, NY schools.
Wrestle eastern as much as possible. One Big travel date for a dual. One in-season Tournament.
The core of our teams for decades has been PA, NJ, NY wrestlers with a few OH, WV. The rest of the states are few that we land consistently. Possibly look to states where there is NO NCAA Division 1 wrestling for a find like we have had in FL, GA. Still no Texas guys?

Re: '22-'23 Schedule
Nice assessment. We are in general agreement.
Re: '22-'23 Schedule
Weenies often are (OK, just kidding; mostly).
Pat will continue to schedule as many Top 10s as he can, to prepare the team for NCAAs.
These incl in the last 4 yrs ASU & CU (4 ea); PSU (3); Iowa; Okla St; MO, MN (2 ea), Mich, VT (1)
Incl W's vs Okla St, ASU, CU, MN, MO. Feel free to call any of these facts pathetic, like any 11-yr old would

Re: '22-'23 Schedule
One thing we may all agree on: there are 2 points of view and each has it's merits. It's not important we agree.
Re: '22-'23 Schedule
>>>>> IMO even Pat would agree there is more than one way to prepare for NCAAs. He may, indeed, opt for an alternate way sooner than later. We'll see.
I don't think Penn State is going anywhere.....just posted an observation and opinion. Wasn't even lobbying for it.
It actually surprised me others agreed with the premise. On we go.
