**** Richb-3 said: "But the bottom line is Don Stabler wanted wrestling to use his arena 7-9 times a year, not 7-9 times a decade. But someone hired a firm to say Stabler needs to be a profit center, except for 30 or so BBall games a year."

**** Yes it sucks when another University Sport is given a Free Ride and Our Supposed Favorite Sport gets shafted. Progressive Thinking At Its Best. (Never mind what I am doing with My Left Hand, Just Keep Looking At my Right Hand).

I'm not going to bother the Stabler people on this financial question. I think I remember hearing a lot of the charges are funny money and I don't remember hearing that BBall did NOT get charged, However, since they practice there and as I recall from walking by there, everything is already setuo unless another event intervened.

Found out something anyway without asking. Your financial facts are only about 15 years out of date. I assume it goes back to when the Univ completely took over Stabler around that time. No charge to set up any more.
You guys were upset about something that wasn't happening.

Then who ordered the code red ( on Stabler)?
I.e. why aren't more duels at Stabler?

Perhaps because it was a big empty place except for a couple of schools. We aren't even filling grace after shrinking it.

True dat. At the Okie State dual at Stabler a couple years ago an Okie sat down next to me when the place appeared to me to be about half full and asked me if it was going to be a sell-out. I shook my head in the negative and when the thing started there hadn't been much of an increase. Reported attendance was about 2900. Mildly embarrassing.

Attendance decline clearly attributed to decline in team performance & no longer considered a Top 10 program. Recruiting top tier prospects is the only thing that will turn this around. Crookham is a good start & Beard transfer should help attract other top prospects.

Must target scholarships to the very best talent vs spreading for depth.

Apparently, it's a sad choice to have an "either/or" situation, but can't have both... "other's" are able to have their cake and eat it too.

Oklahoma State comment is funny since they haven't had a sellout in decades.

Yeah, but their arena holds 13.6k.
