Stanich was winning Jersey state final this year also 3-2 with 17 seconds left, gave up a five point move at the very end to lose the title….. kid has had some tough ones. Hope he wins it next year…..

Stanich is solid and will be a great addition to the room. Cornell kid, whose brother is heading to Cornell this fall, is the #3 overall national recruit.
I agree, it wasn't a takedown.

Maybe Gibson will grow more . but right now he looks like one of those maxed out high school kids that don't always translate to big time success in college......not saying by any means that he won't be good, just not sure if he will be good as in national champion caliber (which he is at high school level).....will be interesting to where the two of them level out in future years......

Both are good prospects, but I like Stanich better.

Thanks for posting.
If that clock is correct, then there is no way that was a takedown at the end.
Great bout either way.

Soooo... would Gibson be considered a HS version of a Muscle Hamster? ;)

I'm glad that Luke Stanich is coming to LEHIGH.

Don't think 2 either with the underhook still in. But I'm doubly partial (NJ, Lehigh). However, in single framing I noticed when it dropped from 2-1 seconds that the embedded graphic time hit 1 a few frames before the actual clock in the background did.
Not that anyone asked but Stanich kept his head and shoulders within the circle (similar to the cylinder thing in college) which kept them as considered in bounds. A couple inches further back and it would have been OB- not that I can guarantee the call there.
