Garcia and Julian Fleming scored a gazillion TD's and were big-time stars at S. Columbia high school. But it's a long way from AA high school football to the big time. Garcia didn't get a sniff at Michigan and Fleming is a part-time wide receiver at Ohio State.

Not seeing a wrestling mat in 3 years, let's get serious Garcia's wrestling days are over.

Never seen a kid get more HYPE than this Garcia, based on what,..his H.S. resume? Hell,..we're still waiting for a HUNDRED yard game on the grid-iron let alone an appearance in Grace Hall

Fleming has injury issues. And, oh yeah, the guys playing ahead of him went top 15 in draft!

?? There has been very little hype here (on forum) about Garcia the wrestler. Nobody's suggested him beating out Beard. In fact, there's been very little hype about Gaige the running back, other than him leading the team in rushing before his injury and now his 59 yds on 10 carries. Time will tell but Beard is definitely The Man right now and hopefully for awhile

Interesting how an innocent, tongue in cheek question was taken by forum members and blown way out of proportion.

My comment wasn't based solely on your post Oracle , also on comments in previous threads and replies to your comment.....Beard will be the man, just hoping Garcia can provide a solid backup at 197 and 285.......Hoping for more from Garcia at this point seems far fetched unless he commits to wrestling full time (which I don't expect or feel he "should"), but hey stranger things have happened.....

...Whatever happens, it's not likely to be as strange as Josh Hokit (similar size as Garcia) ... went from Drexel (w/no football) to Fresno to earn NCAA 5 at 197, then hwt #12 seed w/no NCAAs. Signed for $1mil as FB with '49s in '21; now w/Arizona Cards as TE.... a stretch since he'd need a lot of stretching to be NFL TE.
