Californian Nahshon Garrett came to Cornell as a state 2X champ, spent a year with the FLWC and then placed placed 3.2.5 at 125 and 1 at 133. His 21 second semi-final fall of former NCAA champ Cory Brewer stunned the MSG crowd considering the fall came after the put Brewer on his back for the second time. Still have a hard time believing all that action was in 21 seconds.
In the finals, I recall the score was 7-6 but the bout really wasn't that close. The Iowa guy got the benefit of 2 stalling points that were questionable at best. I thought Garrett had that one all the way.
Nahshon was always fun to watch. He didn't stick around Ithaca when he graduated which probably irritated many fans and perhaps the staff. Their loss is Lehigh's gain!

4x EIWA champion, winning Coaches' Award and Sheridan Award. 37-0 his senior year. Destroyed then-#1 Cody Brewer in the Las Vegas Invitational final after nearly getting decked early, coming from down 7-2 to win 14-9 (https://youtu.be/fFPAjnyAku8).

Good luck finding a quicker wrestler. Moved to 133 and added strength and an unstoppable gas tank. Senior year, one of those guys who left no doubt who was going to win every time he stepped on the mat.

It's the Hines/Crookham/McGonagle project. Garrett needs to be up their asses in a major way.
