Princeton Open scheduled for the same day as opener at home v Sacred Heart. LU normally sends a good size contingent of newbies and non starters to the Open. Choice would be between a full day event where you get to see a bunch of frosh and others in multiple bouts v a dual showing the team's starting line-up in action but which should be a blowout. Hmmmm.
Re: 11/6
Yes, a real quandary. Grace Hall, even with Sacred Heart, has a certain pageantry that's hard to beat. But Jadwin is also a nice place to watch wrestling. Which is closer to where you live?
Re: 11/6
Princeton's about 25 minutes closer. The dual will probably be in the afternoon which means I could grab a pre meet cheesesteak in Bethlehem whereas I usually have to bring a sandwich to the Open so I don't miss any of the action. That's another consideration.
Re: 11/6
**** Unfortunately, The Brass Rail which has always has The Best Cheesesteaks has finally closed as of July, (tge family retired), Stewarts near 18th and Walnut is still very good. I wish I could join you. Good cheesesteaks are few and far between in NC.

76 yo, 5' 10", 150-152 lb. and excellent cholesterol numbers - which has been the case for many years. It's ok to have some occasional unhealthy enjoyment in life, especially as a senior. Probably a good thing that one can't get a decent cheesesteak anywhere near where I live, though.
Re: 11/6
**** Mookie: I agree with Wit Whiz. We should not eat things that are not good for us ALL THE TIME, but occasionally, I think it does more harm than good to abstain from things that provide real pleasure occasionally. Loosen Up and Enjoy, especially when you are considering packaging a good cheesesteak and maybe and order of pierogies with a college wrestling match. I remember stopping at J's Steaks on the south side to get a giant cheesesteak to smuggle into Stabler for The Sheridan. It is not often you can bundle two of your favorite pleasures together.
Re: 11/6
Red meat too often is risky but my dad chose it EVERY option he had
Died of a stroke at 90, cholesterol avg 280 didn’t shorten his life
Zero heart procedures
Me? Chicken, fish, salads more often than red meat;?chol avg 150
1bypass; 7 stent procedures, 1 bypass
Don’t tell me eating right makes that much diff
