Aaron Judge

All rise for the honorable Judge.

Letter to the editor in this morning's NYT. "Jeff" from Bethlehem...

Judge did a beautiful thing with grace and courage. We seem to thrive at contention, picking everything apart, our society at times appears to be coming apart at the seams. So, I take a moment to relax. I will remember what Judge did, as well as how he did it, and cherish it. Most likely I will not see anything like that again in my lifetime.

There is not much to dis-like about Aaron Judge (unless you just hate the Yankees).....just a guy who goes about his business with class and dignity, plays wherever they ask him to, hits wherever in order, always working to improve and always seems like the prototypical teammate......

Turned the game on last nite figuring I'd just watch his first at bat, and bang there it was....Saw a picture of him standing next to Micah Parsons on the field after the game and it makes you realize just how big Judge is, he made Micah Parsons who could be the best edge rusher/ linebacker in pro football right now look like a normal sized human being......

Aaron Judge is something else: a true role model -- something that is not as common as it once was in pro sports.
He is a wonderful young man.

Been a YANKEE fan since 1956 with Mantle winning the TRIPLE-CROWN.

Judge is the consummate TEAM-mate, TEAM-player, and personifies CLASS in everything he says, and does.

Rather cool that Yankees record goes to 99-62 on a night that #99 hits #62 :o

Hardly a soul outside of NY cares about this nonsense juiced up record (162 games btw).
Breaking into every event on TV nationally to show it? Silly.

Maris played 161 games the year he hit 61, Judge hit his 62nd home run in game 157 for him (161 for the team)....Maris had 590 at bats that year, Judge has had 570 this year......Maris was walked 94 times in 1961, Judge has been walked 111 times....... It is the new all time American League record , depending on your stance on the steroid era it could be construed as the greatest HR year ever........

Mountain Hawk you arguing back to Ruth when seasons were shorter?? Ruth played 151 games the year he hit 60, Judge has played 157.....Only 6 game difference, but yeah no big deal.....all these new players and their records are stupid, get off my lawn while you're at it......
