The Beavers
Re: The Beavers
LUWN lists the projected starters for Oregon State:
125: Bailey with no other option
133: McGonagle listed first, then Crookham
141: Hines with no other option
149: Brignola with no other option
157: Humphreys with no other option
165: Meyer with no other option
174: Logan listed first, then Kilrain
184: Samuelson with no other option
197: Beard with no other option
285: Jones listed first, then Taylor
Excited to see what Bailey can do against a returning AA -- will be a rugged test. 133 is the mystery since neither wrestled in the intra-squad competition. Also 174. I suspect Logan goes if 100%. If the dual is on the line, who goes at 285? IMO, Jones should go since he won the public wrestle-off. Should be a reward for that. Then coach's decide moving forward.

Re: The Beavers
Wrestlestat has Bailey losing to the AA 6-7 - one of many close bouts they're predicting. Others are at 133 (w/McG), 149, 165, 174, 184 & 285.

So much for LUWN copyright laws
Sequence at 133 not significant - especially when both guys are in bold - as is true for 3 wts
And you never know when we execute a line-up head fake, in honor of NWCA coaching tradition.
I've never liked their tendency to do that but our nation seems to be promoting lying so ... what''s the Big Diehl?
No, I did NOT just confess to a head fake, just having fun with the anonymous masses. Fact: in the '70s working for LU I used to walk across campus and drop my 'best line-up suggestions' directly on Thad's desk - for PSU duals sometimes 3 different line-ups, and we'd discuss "good idea' or not.
Only after retirement did he admit that my visits were 'sometimes' annoying. This is a guy who agreed to bunk me with him & Leeman on road trips, to help support me & the Nat Mat News ... so I guess the line-up suggestions didn't bother him too much. Last 2 paragraphs not about touting me, since Turner broke my dad's record of # times helping me w/home moves (dad 8, Thad 9). Just explaining why I waste so much of your time supporting coaches.

Re: The Beavers
After I posted it, was wondering if I should have --- at least I attributed the info to LUWN. Maybe even drum up subscriber interest. Thank me later
Re: The Beavers
Now’s fine …. One choice selection enhances the broth
Re: The Beavers
I'm starting to think Mountain Hawk may be right about 24-9. That would probably be the optimum result and could very well happen since OSU is traveling cross country. However, one could also make the case for the Beavers having an edge at 125, 165, 174, 184 -- that means only one other slip up and it's a 5-5 split. Could come down to bonus points at 157. I'm thinking it will be a fun dual to watch as coach Pendleton has instilled a toughness that is undeniable.

I share the smiley, even if intended as cynical vs supportive.
I'm personally exhausted having to spend so much time defending the program plus myself as too upbeat. Have always been sickened by Debbie Downers. But it's their right to be that way, the Mr Rogers in me tries to say. I work my tail off publishing good news, it's, well it's time for the rest of optimists to handle it
heck, it was great that mountain hawk led the way about waiting 'til the dual begins
