I think you’re being a bit dismissive of some legit takes on Taylor and others. I don’t always agree with Spladle but I do about this- everyone we wrestle is good. We expect them to rise to the challenge. Yeah, Doucet is very good but Taylor was reasonably expected to be marginally better or at least not struggle in some positions when you have a 20lb advantage. That’s not a leap. Not by any stretch. Characterizing it that way is a bit disingenuous.

>>>>>> This nit-picking is getting tedious. By saying my characterization is disingenuous, you are really saying it's untruthful. Ridiculous, especially since there was no characterization made.

You don't have to agree, I get that, but there was absolutely nothing in my post that required calling me a liar. If that's not what you intended, then use different words.

Not calling you a liar. Maybe a poor choice of words on my part and I apologize if you felt I was calling you a liar. I don’t think yore saying something you know to be untrue.

But I do think you’re the one nitpicking and I don’t think you likely would have chosen to characterize it that way if some others had made the comment which is why I thinking you’re being disingenuous. The characterization was calling spladle’s comments a “stretch.” Yes, that’s making a characterization- at least I think so. CORRECTION- you called it a “leap”, not a stretch.

I don’t consider them (lying vs disingenuous) to be the same but if you do, I understand.

These are the days of our lives
The precise phrasing is “Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.” This is the opening tagline of the long-running daytime American soap Days of Our Lives and was stated in a serious tone by Macdonald Carey, who played the wise mentor and paterfamilias Dr. Horton, after the opening teaser every afternoon Monday through Friday for decades.
