Could it be ... just maybe, he got into a bad position and was caught on his back. He was in obvious pain after the fall was called. Aside from the end result, it was definitely cause for optimism.

That's fine but let's remember this little chat. I hope I'm wrong but know I'm not.

Wish I saw the optimism that Oracle portrayed from this weekend as I saw what Mookie saw.

Do we have a strength coach?

Really? Mosha Schwartz is a solid D1 wrestler. Hines scored a nice counter TD and rode quite effectively....was leading 4-2 when he was decked. There was no point in that bout where I thought he was being horsed around.

IMO, there is a misconception - and it keeps getting repeated over and over - that Hines is too weak for 141. Yes, he's tall and lean (thin) but his leverage gives him enough horsepower to win consistently at 141. Hopefully, he gets back in the fray right away because I think all he needs is more activity. I'm a way bigger fan of him at 141 than I was of him at 133 where he faded in just about every bout. If injury is minor, I like his upside.
mookie: remember this little chat. ;)

Encouraging Crookham to go 141 is a bad idea. He certified at 133.

MH resembles that remark.
MH - Malyke Hines
MH = Mountain Hawk.

Bonus points for the Bertrand Russell reference.

Me thinks he is being facetious. Hines is a 4th year student.
35-23 in his career.
Has 2 wins against Top 30. Shows flashes of potential in 1st period, but is a Top 20 wrestler, not a Top 8.
Will not contend for AA at NCAA this year or next year. As everyone points out. Doesn't have the horsepower. Will become even more apparent at 141. Do not think either 141 or 149 are settled. I think Crookham will come off redshirt by EIWA.

2022 Top wins #13 (fall) #27
2021 Top win #32
2020 Top win #43

I know "it's what we do" in posting but we really owe these kids more respect by not posting our personala insecurities. David Craig won Easterns and Rd12 NCAA at 184 while certifying at 167. Partly due to his concussion Nathaniel Brown became NCAA 2nd while certified at 174. As fans we rarely know this stuff - but we certainly know we've head strength coaches for a decade or more

Despite our alleged knowledge, we do NOT know weight amts lifted, therefore are just guessing their strength. Having wrestled a few wrestlers when they were active at 125 (when I was 170) it always impressed me how easily they could kick my ass. I'm trying to ask nicely to avoid inane analysis

Disagree. I don’t need to know his squat/ bench/deadlift to see he has trouble like I don’t need to be present to see a gas tank run to empty. In fact, I’ll bet you didn’t know how much those 125’s all lifted when they kicked your ass. But someone watching that match could probably tell you got your ass kicked and would reasonably think their strength relative to their weight was a contributing factor.

You’re welcome to disagree but this makes in inane in your eyes, I’m comfortable with it.
