(Inquiring minds want to know!)

JIM POPINKO - WARREN HILLS - TOP LEFT

Strong farm-boy from the small hamlet of Oxford, N.J., just outside Washington. 2ND of two State Champs from Oxford, the other being my teammate George Shoemaker(1964). Jim also excelled as a wide-receiver on the grid-iron, was fast, with a good pair-of-hands. Played briefly for Rutgers, before transferring to Kutztown. Had a few PRO try-outs,..the last being with the NEW YORK GIANTS.

His three daughters were ALL-STATE Field Hockey stars, and played D1 collegiately.

Jim continues to run the farm in his home town, and is owner of the highly successful JERSEY-STARZ Field Hockey Club.
Nice group. Sloand, Mills, Husted and even father of Bethlehem Catholic/Binghamton U Ryan Anderson, Scott Anderson of Basking Ridge.
