125 #19 Brandon Kaylor #2 Patrick Glory L DEC 7 - 2
133 #30 Jason Shaner Jr #95 Sean Pierson W DEC 14 - 7
141 #40 Cleveland Belton #50 Danny Coles W MD 11 - 2
149 #168 Riley Gurr #43 Rocco Camillaci W DEC 7 - 3
157 #67 Isaiah Crosby #43 Ty Whalen W DEC 13 - 6
165 #19 Matthew Olguin #5 Quincy Monday L SV-1 5 - 3

285 #74 Jj Dixon #42 Travis Stefanik L DEC 8 - 3

Ore State takes 7 out of 10. Patrick Glory looked sharp, but I still don't see him matching up that well with Spencer Lee (does anybody?). Kaylor has been having a good year with all his losses except this one by 1 pt or in OT. Flo announcers were speculating on whether Glory would have gas tank issues in the 3rd, but actually he got stronger as the match went on and Kaylor looked very distressed in the 3rd.

Olguin kept it close with Monday and then got a last second TD to take it to overtime. Probably should have been hit for stalling earlier than he was.

I watched it, too. Stefanik looked quick at Heavyweight - apparently he put on 60 lbs since last year to move from 184 right up to Heavy.
Monday just couldn't finish a shot - in on Olguin's legs numerous times - strength issue at 165? Makes me think he might go back to 157?
Crosby at 157 for OS was listed as a Redshirt Junior at 26 years of age. Good God, he can apply for Social Security by the time he graduates. Whalen for Princeton is 18 - an 8 year age difference. That's just plain crazy.

Kaylor is 2-3 against the EIWA this year, losing to Princeton, Cornell, and Army, and beating LIU and Lehigh.

The kid from Army who beat Kaylor is having a heck of a first year. I guess he must have been at Army prep last year?

The AWP roster lists him from Jeannette HS, but PA Wrestling says he wrestled for Hempfield. In any case, his high school record was good, but not good enough to expect what he’s doing this season.

For HUB

The Bergenc answer is that Jeanette co-ops with Hempfield, Jeanette pa is one of the strongest small football programs They are <100 boys in the top 3 grades. They seem to have a lot of kids move in (I won't say they recruit)

They had a rather less successful wrestling program. they dropped the program after 2016-2017. They are a small boro jammed into the side of Hempfield which is a large township surrounding the city of Greensburg. Jeanette obviously now co-ops with Hempfield in Wrestling. This is in Westmoreland Co SE of Pittsburgh. I was at first confused because I did not realize Jeanette Was close to Greensburg.

This Hempfield is often referred to as Hempfield-Greensburg or Hempfield-Westmoreland CO. There also Hempfield HS in Lancaster. Hempfield-Lancaster is the school one of our current recruits, Seamus Mack, attends

Gotcha, thanks… I went to HS in Westmoreland County and knew kids from Jeanette and Hempfield. Hempfield was a powerhouse in both football and wrestling back then when the Foothills conference was one of the best in the state.

How about that Pitt first year? Mt. Pleasant HS.

Pitzer has lost to Feldman in HS, But Pitzer was wrestling 220-215, No reason for him not to put on 20 pounds, if/of muscle. I could see them being the NCAA finals the next 4 years if Pitzer does not burn his shirt this year
