klehner: Maybe you haven't been paying attention but the Ivy League this year, with the exception of rebuilding Brown, is very stout. Besides your beloved Cornell, Penn, Princeton, Columbia and even Harvard are all serious dual meet teams against a depleted Lehigh -- and even if Lehigh wasn't depleted.

Penn whipped LU last year pretty handily and might do it again. The key bout will be at 133 -- if McG takes it, LU has a shot. Columbia just gave Okla St a solid performance -- they are improved over last year's very decent team. Princeton just beat Arizona State. Navy and Army wrestle Lehigh like their hair is on fire.......so yes, it's a formidable EIWA schedule for Lehigh. Throw all the shade you want, rankings do not tell the whole story.

It's possible LU could lose to all 4 Ivies -- maybe/probably a first. Also possible to win them all. But Columbia felt jobbed last year and has upgraded their starters at 157 and 174 -- 2 weights where Lehigh has struggled recently.
And Roger takes special pleasure in beating us. Ayres, of course, has won the last 2 duals so they expect to win.
Navy has struggled, but so have we. Army down this year but has some tough kids....as does Bucknell....still expect LU will take these 3.

That a depleted Lehigh team might lose to one or more of the EIWA teams remaining on their schedule doesn't make those EIWA teams "formidable." Cornell nearly getting beaten by Lehigh doesn't make Lehigh "formidable," either.

Formidable is a relative term. I understood the post for what it was, not that hard to understand. And nothing in the post inferred that Lehigh was formidable.
