He would actually benefit from a match with a higher ranked guy——ranking process expects a loss so very little to lose and a lot to gain with a win.
From a ranking perspective, I’ll defer to the coaches ranking, which has McGonagle significantly higher than WrestleStat. He has a win over Pitt and is properly ranked just ahead of Pitt by the coaches and other rankings.
In reply to HFO, McGonagle has a real shot at the EIWA finals unless Glory elects to forego 125.
And Hines is also in a good position with a win over the current highest ranked EIWA 141.
Lehigh has a legitimate shot at 5 EIWA finalists 133,141,157,184 & 197
