Gotta agree with Mountain Hawk to some degree, if Taylor finishes that take down would have been a whole different match, not going as far as to say he would have won, but think it would have come right down to the end.........that said for heavies not being able to get out from bottom is a major problem, much harder to make up for the loss of a point (escape) and riding time point at that weight....

Cornell's Ramirez gets upset and now gets PSU Facundo in first consi match who also got upset......gotta love the animal show.....

Agree with all that.

Taylor’s a freshman. McTiernan was seeded 12th for a reason. At 21st seed, Big Man was expected to lose, right? How he lost we can debate but does it really matter? The other guy was better. So we can agree he needs work off bottom. He’s got time to develop. His biggest issue is coming in right after a legendary guy like Jordan Wood.

Bigger news IMO is Samuelson getting the fall. His late season improvement is palpable. Gets #1 next but expect a good showing.

EIWA numbers
Conference went 17-35 in the 1st round includes 4 head to heads
so 13-31 vs non conference foes

Good job Drexel with a couple of upsets. Columbia (0-6), Bucknell, Binghamton, Army, and American were winless. Navy had a win, Penn went 1-7, Harvard had two wins.

>>>if he had managed to finish that TD at the end of the first he would have won the bout.....oh so close

... ? Fishing for lines? Only Jesus was able to feed all those with fish and loaves
... I have no notes on my scoresheet about a likely 1st pd score; even if he did, that makes the final, 4-2, in McKiernan's eyes, at least - and the guy seemed pretty freakin' tough to me. NT's critics will have to settle for him literally squashing the Harvard guy. No two hwts are exactly alike

Scouting? Why choose down on McTiernan? Awful.

Taylor was close to an escape several times———- bottom was the right choice at that point in the match.

And the real bottom line is the opponent was better. Let’s see how how Taylor responds tonight.

Seems like a reasonable question.

Foca pinned. Ramirez lost and didn't look good at all after getting the first TD.
I meant Ramirez, not Foca. I’m going to stop with this (need D3!). Trying to work and watch and post and check in on the basketball is too much multitasking. I lose Focas. :-)
Hey, BP!
I was busy at work, with... work! :P
Had Trackwrestling dashboard up, but it was tough getting a glance at it, when... I'm working!
I'll be up and running w/ESPN+ @ 7pm when the evening session starts... I'll comment when I can.
cheers!
