Re: Animal Show/NCAA's-Session 2...
Only problem seems to be when he extends......up close a monster as always.......nice win
Re: Animal Show/NCAA's-Session 2...
**** Samuelson and Beard advance. Need to win one more each to AA. Taylor loses to Slavwouski. He simply ran out of gas. 4 out of 5 advance.
Re: Animal Show/NCAA's-Session 2...
**** Hines with a fall over Kazmir. Two more matches to AA
Re: Animal Show/NCAA's-Session 2...
**** Samuelson falls , Beard wins.

>>>>>>>> So if I'm hearing you right, you're saying, a *freshman* is having trouble with the very best guys in the country in the toughest tournament there is, is that about right?
Who doesn't your comment refer to, exactly?

I'm referring to the freshman who had 37 bouts as a redshirt and was the starter for virtually the entire season this year, the guy who's coached by a national champion and has been able to train with a 5 time EIWA champion. That guy.Oracle wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 4:14 pm>>>>>>>> So if I'm hearing you right, you're saying, a *freshman* is having trouble with the very best guys in the country in the toughest tournament there is, is that about right?

**** Beard and Hines in the Blood Round. Humphreys already AA. Overall, not a bad NCAA.

>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nathan Taylor was *not* an elite recruit. He had pootential and would more accurately be described as a 'project.' The red shirt year, the coaching, and all you mention are part of his development. He's a freshman. You make it sound like POOF -- he should be a completed project. That's BS and everyone on here knows it. Your standard for this young man is too high, too soon. He now has NCAA experience to build on. He's coming along nicely. Why not leave it at that?
Like I said, virtually everyone struggles with athletic wrestlers. Humphreys struggled with Coleman. Beard struggled with Bastida.
