Rutgers is currently struggling in the bottom tier of the B1G.

Lehigh has plenty of successful NY/Wall Street alums.

I would keep the welcome mat in front of Grace Hall and Portal Door open for guys with the academic and wrestling chops.

Real Woods went from Stanford to Iowa. I was sitting with some Arizona State fans who were voicing concern that Kyle Parco may go back home to California to Stanford where (they said) his brother is going?

Came in 5th at 165 lbs, by far the most top heavy weight in the tourney…..beat Hamiti from WI in the 5/6 match 4-1….his two losses were to Carr (runnerup) and Amine (4th place)

Well Artalano and Griffith would be nice additions at 165 and 174, if Humphreys is back. 125-149 will sort itself out with Crookham and the rest. They will be a competitive lowerweights, probably not big NCAA points.

157-285 is transformed with 2 high quality graduate transfers and Medical Redshirt year to Humphreys.

Unfortunately, been around way too long to anticipate so much falling into place. Santoro will just have to develop it organically. The upside for next year will be getting 2 into Saturday.

Transfer portal does change the dynamic. Lehigh also does have a late window deadline for a number of graduate programs to start in Fall. Fingers crossed. It has to now be a tool in the toolchest for Head Coaches to be out there to field inquiries. Lehigh still has its place as a pathway into NYC jobs. Not as strong as it once was in NYC or USA industrial, but enough alumni are out there. Of all the NCAA programs, IVY and few private universities do offer a special option for graduate transfer wrestlers.

I can remember Peppleman, Hyman, Samuelson, the young man from club team at Central Florida. The rest I can recall were undergraduate transfers like Goldstein, Diekel, Husted, Hutchinson and others from 1960s and on. Lehigh is a wrestling school and for a lot of wrestlers it will be on their short list as a transfer possibility.

Yep Billy Stuart.

Can a D2/3 wrestler transfer to D1? (Assuming they had 4 years to graduate, and an injury year), obviously it works the other way around.

As long as they clear NCAA D1 requirements. JuCo as well.
