Probably because they agreed with the review that showed he got out a split sec late.

Which is one of the strangest misfortunes causing a missed possible final that I can recall. Definitely sucks

Beard looks unwell. Concussion? Sick? Idk but even the ref noticed and Rey has to keep telling him to wrestle

You should still throw the brick - there’s always a possibility that the independent review sees it differently.

Tough one for Hump.....he definitely got his leg out before time expired, not sure if he has to turn and face prior to being awarded the escape? Or maybe ESPNs clock isn't the official clock........ If not, then that was a horrible blown call considering they reviewed it. He was definitely out in time. The ref is mainstay EIWA ref, so be sure to give him an earful next year in Grace. :x

I'm convinced Beard has something up with him - illness, injury, something. He did great to get to the blood round on his pure skill, but he just doesn't seem physically right as he was for the majority of the year.

Before the start of this session, the B&W had a chance to make it 3 AA's... we're only to get one.
(And, I repeat, hope that Josh doesn't get sucked into a Semi-Slide.)

I agree w/ you ikeremix on Michael... he's definitely off-song this month. He definitely has the skillset to AA.

Sir, a pint of you finest ale, please!
Never argue with an idiot... he'll bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

He was shot half way through the 2nd period. Very strange to have your coach yelling at you to suck it up when you’re wrestling for an AA .

Sucks that our third potential AA couldn’t give it a go, he has a win over Orine who AA’d and was wrestling well until the injury. At least he and Beard have time to continue growing and a couple more shots at getting the medal

Seemed like more than just fatigue to me, the ref had to stop the match to make sure he was ok and he looked uneasy on his feet, even Truax looked confused

Agreed. Three Friday night losses after a promising afternoon session. Almost as bad as “Black Friday” out in St. Louis almost 20 years ago. Three All-Americans would have been great and a top 15 finish. Also agreed that Beard seems to have lost his stamina the last three weeks. Head shaking..

1st stall call against O’Connor with 15 seconds left. 2nd stall call with 2 seconds left. Guy kept hanging on legs. Humphreys escape with 1 second left. It can clearly be seen by anyone. Play it back in slo-mo.
It was a 4-4 bout.
